About This Position
The Business Development Officer is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of F2 Strategy by identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and utilizing existing client relationships to maximize profitability. The Business Lead will work closely with the Industry Lead, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities:
- Conduct market research to identify new markets, potential clients and partnership opportunities
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and client needs to identify areas for expansion
- Receive sales referrals
- Outbound sales efforts:
- Prospecting dormant accounts
- Networking New Opportunities
- Cold Calling
- Utilizing sales enablement packages
- Strategic planning
- Market analysis
- Proposal Development, including deal review process
- Margin management
- Pipeline management
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or consulting
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities
Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels, both verbally and in writing
- Strategic thinking: Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective growth strategies
- Negotiation skills: Ability to negotiate favorable terms with clients and partners
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and overcome challenges in the sales process
- Market knowledge: Understanding of the industry and competitive landscape
- Salesforce or CRM proficiency: Experience using salesforce or a similar CRM system
- Knowledge of sales methodologies: Familiarity with sales methodologies such as solution selling or consultative selling
Additional Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experience in wealth management
- MBA or advanced degree
- Certifications in sales or business development
