Anish Mazumdar
Anish is a Director at F2 Strategy, bringing over 20 years of experience across investment management and asset servicing within financial services. He has led strategic initiatives across the UK, US, and Europe, working with stakeholders at all levels to deliver transformation across multiple business lines. His expertise spans middle-office, fund accounting and administration, and back-office custody operations, with deep experience in fund accounting processing, daily securities valuation, NAV calculation and reconciliation, and custody reconciliation.
Anish combines 10 years of external consulting experience with 13 years of direct industry experience. In consulting roles, he has led business strategy and operating model design initiatives, driven large-scale implementations, and managed complex program efforts while supporting solution development. His work has also included client onboarding, financial and regulatory reporting, internal controls development, and service provider outsourcing and oversight.
Anish worked at a large global service provider in fund operations and supported their largest outsourcing deals across the globe, driving due diligence for pre- and post-RFP efforts and leading onboarding initiatives across middle office, fund conversions, technology implementations, and product launches throughout the US, UK, and Europe.
Anish is an active member of NICSA and works alongside industry professionals to provide executives with tools to support strategic business development and best practice implementation.

What do you think WealthTech will allow asset managers to do in five years that they can’t do now?
Coupled with AI, WealthTech will allow the managers to provide more sophisticated research, predict the markets/trends better, faster, and provide a more customized service to the end client.
What has changed the most since you started out in the industry?
Multiple trends, insourcing, outsourcing, back to insourcing, technologies from buy vs build, larger behemoths building technology/mainframes in-house to smaller more nimble FinTechs disrupting the industry and more.
What would you tell someone just starting out in the industry right now?
Learn the applicability of AI and sharpen your skills in 3 areas - problem solving, critical thinking and story telling.
