Chris Sadala has more than 30 years of experience in investment management technology and enterprise data management. He helps clients improve operations through system analysis, implementations, custom programming, data architecture, and data governance initiatives. Chris brings deep expertise across investment accounting, performance measurement, portfolio management, trading, reconciliation, corporate actions, and data management.

Throughout his career, Chris has led complex technology and operational transformation initiatives, including Eagle implementations, data warehouse development, interface design, and data governance programs. His technical background spans cloud-based architectures, SQL, Python, data engineering, and modern data platforms, allowing him to bridge business requirements with scalable technology solutions.

Chris is passionate about solving complex problems using an engineering approach, building systems that work, and fixing those that do not. Based in Tampa, Florida, he enjoys hunting for shark teeth and fossils, collecting seashells, and taking advantage of Florida's warm weather. He and his wife are avid sports fans and regularly attend Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning games.  

What would you tell someone just starting out in the industry right now?  

Learn about all aspects of the business and then pick an area of concentration that you find most interesting. Develop some technical skills to supplement business knowledge. Always keep learning.  

What has changed the most since you started out in the industry?  

In 30 years, the technology tools available are significantly more powerful. The systems that clients like to use have gone through many transformations but what is still amazing that the same problems have persisted since I started in this industry.  

What are you most passionate about in your role?  

Solving complex problems using an engineering approach. Building systems that work and fixing the ones that don't.
