
Christy Carroll is a Senior Consultant at F2 Strategy with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. She is an investment professional with extensive knowledge of investment operations across a wide range of products including mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity, endowments, and defined benefit and contribution plans. She has led initiatives focused on business transformation across front, middle, and back-office functions.
Christy has significant experience leading global projects involving operational transformation, platform changes, fund conversions, and vendor transitions, with a strong focus on data management and governance. Most recently, she led the conversion of over $550B in international ETF assets between service providers, delivering the initiative on time and on budget while coordinating across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Christy has held several leadership roles at BNY, including Director positions focused on improving platform operating models for state-sponsored retirement plans and onboarding new programs to enhance efficiency and KPIs. She also led the sale of a subsidiary and executed the TSA ahead of schedule. In addition, she led the Accounting Information Delivery & Fund Administration function for Asset Servicing and contributed to winning a $770B ETF servicing mandate, while also supporting digital client experience initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Christy held roles at Brown Brothers Harriman, Fidelity, and State Street, where she led product development, platform transitions, and operations for large institutional clients, consistently driving efficiency improvements and successful client outcomes. Christy is based in Boston.
First, I would tell them to listen more than they talk as they get up to speed in their first role. Second, I would encourage them to try to be comfortable with ambiguity. Since things will change on a very regular basis, embracing the ambiguity and leaning into the pace of constant change will keep them on their toes and continually learning.
When I started out, we had paper trades being sent from one floor to another floor. Everything has gone digital and the companies who jumped into the digital development for their products have a strong advantage to be able to service clients’ needs.
Learning new things and new approaches on a daily basis is what keeps me inspired and stimulates my intellectual curiosity.
