What would you tell someone just starting out in the industry right now?

As you begin your career in consulting or financial services, make sure to prioritize human connection and relationships. These relationships will stay with you for the long term and will create opportunities, learning experiences, and greater job satisfaction.

What has changed the most since you started out in the industry?

Over the past 30 years, I have witnessed significant processing automation, centralization, and operational outsourcing. When I started my career in back-office accounting, manual processing and full end-to-end ownership were very common. Over the years, investment in technology and centralized operating models became priorities. While tremendous efficiencies and cost savings were achieved, it has become more difficult to find resources who truly understand the complete end-to-end process.

Who or what inspires you in your job?

While I have met countless amazing and inspirational people throughout my career, my greatest inspiration has always been my wife and children.
