What do you think WealthTech will allow alternative asset managers to do in five years that they can’t do now?

I’m hardly going out on a limb in saying AI is going to have a significant impact on WealthTech. Where I foresee the largest impact is the client’s ability to see data parsed and presented any way they choose, virtually instantaneously. Where once you would need a complex customized report developed, this will likely be done with just a several word prompt.

What are three words that describe how you do your job?

Adaptable, Proactive, Upbeat

What would you tell someone just starting out in the industry right now?

Be curious. While it is very important to learn how to service the existing marketplace, it’s clear that everything is changing so fast. Anyone who is sure they know exactly what the landscape looks like in 5 years is kidding themselves. Someone starting this career should be reading and talking to anyone they can to familiarize themselves with the new. This will give them a huge advantage on people far more senior than themselves.
