Jaci Stanton and Michelle Borkowski traveled to Southern California to attend RIA Edge West earlier this month. Over a busy two days they presented and participated in sessions as well as hosted a women’s networking event. They shared a quick perspective on the experience:
Personalization and Scale
RIA Edge West definitely hit the mark by serving up the right topics paired with the right experts to discuss them. Our industry has a big emphasis on personalization at scale and rightly so. To deliver uniquely personalized experiences at scale, growing firms focus on defining a clear value proposition first and then using technology and AI to deliver against it. Many are focused on the psychology of clients where tools and tech are used to uncover values, goals, and biases to design human-first experiences. We recommended getting this valuable information into your CRM to help advisors deliver true personalization.
Focus on Growth Continues
Conversations about growth everywhere we go, that much is clear. Wealth management firms are now talking about “growth with intention” and have a focus on sustainability. This comes back to knowing your audience and what they want. Be aware of the changing expectations and needs across generations and genders. Technology is critical in serving different levels and different types of clients. It is also critical in helping advisors focus on client conversations. Growth comes through the elimination of manual tasks, the automation of low value workloads, and improved onboarding and nurturing.
Second Women’s Networking Event
Just a few weeks ago we held an evening networking event for female tech executives attending Future Proof and we were very excited to be able to host another one at Edge West. We still would love to see more women coming out to these events and network, make their voices heard, and have their contributions to this industry’s growth and innovation recognized. Lean in!
